Naming Ceremony of Cho Kwai Chee Foundation Building

Dr. Cho Kwai Chee, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Cho Kwai Chee Foundation (“CKCF”), has in the past two decades actively participated in charity work and fulfilled his philanthropy commitment based on the spirit of “what is taken from the society shall be given back to the society”. CKCF supports sustainable youth programs to nurture creativity, empower them the spirit of giving and contributing to the society, and strengthen their bonding to Hong Kong and to the country.
In order to strengthen the training of local teachers and nurture future talents for Hong Kong, Dr. Cho has made donations to the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) through CKCF to support its educational development program and teacher training.
EdUHK has renamed its Administration Building after the Cho Kwai Chee Foundation in appreciation of a generous donation from the Foundation. A naming ceremony was held on 10 August with more than 600 guests. Officiating at the ceremony were Dr. Ko Wing-man, Secretary for Food and Health of the HKSAR government. Mr. Antony Leung Kam-chung, Chairman and CEO of the Nan Fung Group, also shared his view on education at the ceremony.
The donation of CKCF will mainly be distributed to four categories, including overseas learning experience for prospect teachers, scholarship for postgraduate students, recruitment of scholars with outstanding academic or research achievement to be professors, and aids of the promotion of life education program for students, parents and teachers. The activity was attended by an array of media and was full of excitement.
